DESCRIPTION:
Yosvany Terry premiered his latest composition, Noches de Parrandas, at Yerba Buena Gardens Festival on October 5, 2013. This musical suite was commissioned by the Festival and was inspired by the sights and sounds of Cuba's oldest cultural celebration, las Noches de Parrandas, which takes place in Remedios, Cuba in the days leading up to Christmas.

Los Parranderos featured both east and west coast musicians. In this clip you will see cuban-born percussionist Sandy Perez, now living in the Bay Area, begin the song with an amazing conga solo.
