"THE LEGEND OF YETI GONZALES"
Yeti remain true to their musical roots with evident influences from the likes of The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Byrds, The Zombies and The Beatles. This is classic acoustic-driven beat pop, with a distinct 60's psychedelic flavour and trademark three-part harmonies.
Filling the gap left by disco punk and emo rock, Yeti are a refreshing blend of reverence, style and pure talent, showcasing just how stylish British rock music can be. Marrying exquisite musicianship and songwriting that cuts straight to the core, Yeti's sound is at once timeless and effortless. Critics have compared the band's sound to "pre-rock" Beatles, The La's, The Kinks, The Byrds, The Coral, early Pink Floyd and Love.
Following a round of successful tours in Europe (supporting Oasis), America, Japan and the UK, Yeti camped out at Eastcote Studios to record their long-awaited debut LP "The Legend Of Yeti Gonzales". The band made no compromises, producing and mixing the entire record so that the sound is that of Yeti and no one else.
Featuring the already-classic singles "Don't Go Back To The One You Love" and "Never Lose Your Sense Of Wonder", the album will be released on June 23. It will be available on CD and iTunes, and the first 3000 CDs will come with a specially-ordered "hospital" CD tray.
The new single off the album is "Don't Go Back To The One You Love", a psychedelic monster of an epic that is an amalgamation of three separate songs from three different genres. Check out the crazy video below.
