LaTour (William LaTour) is an electronic musician from the early 90s who began his formula during the hose dance era. Many of his productions offered a spoken theme over pulsating keyboard arrangements. “People Are Still Having Sex” from 1991 is one of the messages from the HIV/AIDs epidemic from the 80s into a new decade of understanding and defiance. “Blue” is a track which was featured in the film “Basic Instinct” – it was one of the big hits in my house sets in 1991 and still one of my favorite electronic pieces with a bit of that claustrophobic feel. A touch of rave and grittiness makes this one very interesting!
