Riding along the gritty edge of rock to the heart of country is where you'll find the sounds of WYATT in Rock Country. WYATT, an original 4-piece band from Saskatoon, drives the sound of progressive country bands like Emerson Drive and Doc Walker and grounds it with the depth and groove of Tom Petty.

Imagine old school southern rock combined with the rich, vocal flavours of Bon Jovi, The Eagles and Rascal Flatts…this is Rock Country. Together, singer-guitarists Scott Patrick and Daniel Fortier, drummer Bray Hudson and bassist Cam Ewart have a sound and a commanding on-stage chemistry that instantly converts audiences to fans.

WYATT has been busy not-so-quietly building a strong following in Western Canada over the last couple of years. 2007 saw them walk confidently into the limelight with showcases at JUNOFEST, SCMA's, and CCMA's, and celebrate the release of their debut album 'Hard Road'. This gritty album mixes soaring guitars with beautiful vocal melodies through the universal themes of living, loving & losing and is chock-full of infectious tunes including "This Town", "I Don't Mind", "Like We Belong" and the title track "Hard Road".

2008 was a year of evolution for WYATT as they began to build their fan base the old fashioned way - one show at a time. After ringing in the New Year with Aaron Pritchett, WYATT toured Western Canada extensively, including sharing the stage with Jason Aldean and jamming with Grammy nominees Emerson Drive and John Rich (Big & Rich) at a WYATT show in Regina, SK. The band was also featured in Deric Ruttan's video "First Time in a Long Time" and Jason Blaine's video, "My First Car", which both went to the top 5 on CMT in 2008. WYATT topped off a stellar year by receiving "Rising Star" and "Group of the Year" at the 2008 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards, only the second time a single band received the two awards in the same year, and the first since The Johner Brothers in 1991! Wyatt followed these wins up with a repeat win for SCMA Group of the Year in 2009 and won the SaskMusic/Astral Media "Next Big Thing" contest in June 2009. Says drummer Bray Hudson, "Receiving the support and recognition from fans and your home province is one of the main reasons we can be successful doing what we do."

WYATT has been hard at work, writing, recording and now releasing. "If I had a Dollar". Working with Nashville-based writer/producer Noah Gordon (Jason Blaine, Emerson Drive) and Grammy-nominated engineer T.W. Cargile of BIG Studios, the band has recorded some of its strongest work to date. According to singer/guitarist Scott Patrick, "We are really excited with the way the new record has shaped up. Working with Noah as a producer to help refine and shape our sound has been an incredible experience, but working with him as a songwriter has really allowed us to grow as artists." Adds singer/guitarist Daniel Fortier, "The reaction from fans and industry alike to the new songs has been unbelievable. We have such incredibly loyal fans from all walks of life. It makes all the work to date so much more rewarding." According to bassist Cam Ewart, "One of the things we are able to do with this band is 'convert' fans who don't traditionally listen to country music. We are always getting feedback from audiences who weren't fans of country music until they came out to a WYATT show or heard our songs on the radio."

So strap on your boots, hang on to your hat, and let WYATT welcome you to ROCK COUNTRY!
