Gee Money

Who is Gee Money? Well if you don’t know then you better ask somebody! I was born and raised in Staten Island, New York and my dynamic personality and hard work set the rest in motion! While living in New York I began to dabble in the entertainment industry, and got involved in all aspects; from Rap Music, to cutting an album as an artist with Partners in Poetry, to managing artists under Trifecta management. Simultaneously I began honing my thespian craft, by acting in various plays in local theater and because of the nature of the business and the natural progression of the industry, I began branching out to videos, TV and TV commercials.



Right before I made the move to St.Maarten I had my first opportunity to be part of a major motion picture in the movie Mixing Nia, alongside Karyn Parsons (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) and Isaiah Washington (Dead Presidents).



I made the move to St.Maarten in 1998 and began doing radio in 1999 and I've been holding down the midday shift, 10AM to 2PM at Laser 101 ever since, with the "AM/PM Workload Show". In 2003 I also started doing shows on Saturday night with the "Saturday Jump off” and in 2004 and 2007 I was voted St. Maartens radio host of the year.



I also can be seen on cable TV in commercials and mini-series and on KikoTaKiko TV, as one of the host traveling the Caribbean, doing interviews at the hottest spots with today’s hottest artists.



I continue to love acting and have done plays in New York and in St.Maarten. In 2005 I was awarded "Best Male Performance" for my role as Walter Lee in the play "A Raisin in the Sun" and in 2007 I had a role in the independent feature film The Panman: Rhythm of the Palms. The movie received excellent reviews and even picked up two awards, winning the ‘Best Feature Film’ category at the Hollywood Black Film Festival and ‘Best Score’ at the Brooklyn International Film Festival, both in June 2008.
