"i wanna see the outside of this barbed wire think tank

you asked for freedom i traded mine for razored walls of benevolence it's so unfitting it's so unfair i wanna escape and see what's out there i am protected i have what's best but why must i feel internal unrest

i cannot tell if when water comes whether i would sink or swim (barbed) nor do i think it really matters as long as i am here with Him (wire) i cannot help but think that i am safe from flood if safe from fire (think) the world is so much safer when surrounded by a case of wire (tank)

haunted by thoughts of what could be if layers of wire didn't surround me so much destruction outside my life it looks like freedom means corruption it looks so fearful so full of hate perhaps -they- are the ones encaged

they say that the grass is always greener on the other side but i prefer Kentucky blue and i cannot escape this barbed wire so what i have will do.

i felt the sting of these razored walls when not listening to the Shepard's call so much time spent trying to escape when i should have found any reason i could to stay my eyes which are at best maybe half blind tend to focus on things that aren't mine followed swiftly by fervent feet and a stomach that craves what it shouldn't eat

i never would have thought playing by Your rules would be so much better (so much better) barbed wire barbed wire think tank i never would have thought playing by the rules would be so much better."
