DESCRIPTION:
This song is about the clash of the Allied convoy ONS-92 and the wolf pack "Hecht" (pike) of the German Kriegsmarine on May 12th 1942, when 7 ships of the convoy were sunken in the North Atlantic. "Gleaves" and "Ingham" are the names of 2 American warships. The British rescue ship "Bury" was equipped with the new HF/DF-technology whose inadequate use in part explained the disaster.

In diesem Lied der Playlist "World War Two" erzählt Sabaton vom Zusammentreffen des alliierten Convoy ONS-92 mit dem Wolfsrudel "Hecht" der Kriegsmarine am 12. Mai 1942, wobei 7 Schiffe des Convoy im Nordatlantik versenkt wurden. "Gleaves" und "Ingham" waren zwei amerikanische Kriegsschiffe. Das britsche Rettungsschiff "Bury" war mit der damals neuen HF/DF-Technologie ausgestattet, deren nicht sachgemäße Anwendung das Desaster mitverschuldete.
