1. The Burning Desert

As I walk alone in the land of sand and heat
listening to the winds singing hexes in my ears
the moon reveals the paths marked by an unknown race
wanderers from behind the stars who came here before men

I can hear the desert cry, it's dark when the moon does hide
And I am trapped behind the wall of time

As the sunrise kills the night their temples fill the sky
As another day goes by I know this is where I'll die
In my dreams a black-clad witch guides me on my way
but every time I reach for her she says that she cannot stay

I can hear the call of Gods, they want me by their side
But are their temples just within my mind?

2. The Witch

Oh, don't leave me
Empress of the night
I won't deceive thee
and I long to reach your shrines up in the sky

Temples in the sky, light shines in her eyes
chaos of her mind crawling deep inside

Face down to the ground... don't you make a sound
Hear their awful cry
This is where you die...

3. The Meadows of Opium Dreams

At night I went to find her at the meadows of opium dreams
where nameless things go play their games
under the purple moon
I walked across the desert, she walked ahead of me
Stopped and looked into my eyes
I saw my destiny

No, I cannot reach their temples

She laid there right beside me and took me deep within
moonbeams dancing on her skin
as pale as a dead can be
Her eyes were full of hatred as she whispered in my ear

"In the temples in the sky they wait
and they want both you and me!"
