The Witch is taken from The Burial ground lane series.

"The Witch" is now featured in the UFK Dollshouse.
The Witch in this story...from the Burial Ground Lane story..was actually not based on a real witch. I based the character on a beleaguered old woman who lived in the village I grew up in...which happens to be one of the most haunted villages in England...or certainly the South East. The village is called Pluckley...google it if you don't believe me...Pluckley, Kent.
The woman was called Edwina Slatterley...she was the last in her family line. The kids teased her...and she was accused of eating a guinea pig that belonged to the Bailey children from HopPocket Cottages. I often thought about Edwina Pet-Eater as the kids called her. I needed one more song to finish the Burial Ground Lane story and I was in the studio the next day. That night I dreamed of a Guinea Pig with it's head bitten off. I like to think that was old Edwina urging me to do this song. There are lots of spooky tales to be found about the village of Pluckley...and I feel it subconsciously inspired me to write horror/ghost musicals. Thanks for listening...don't be scared.
