André Winter and Hatzler's unique studio alchemy has revealed itself under many guises over many years. Their latest incarnation sees them join forces yet again for an impressive selection of maximal techno future classics, on the beloved Senso Sounds imprint of their longtime friend Oliver Huntemann.
There is nothing illusory about the duo's Mirage EP; the three tracks are rock solid, bristling with energy, and designed for maximum impact. "Mirage" is pure forward movement and acceleration, straight out of the gate. The duo create layer after layer of dark tech elements and percussive accents, building a sense of anticipation that drive towards a peak of sensory saturation.
"Kwantum" continues the metallic tones and spiky attitude, with a touch of vintage minimal flair that is perfect for late-night sessions. Starting with a sparse, deep swing and distinctive bass riff, neon retro pads begin to fill the gaps and tiny snips of machine music bring this streamlined stomper to life. "Glowsticks" possesses with the colour and vibrancy that the name suggests, to create a big, bright peaktime belter that maintains its relentless pace from the very first bar.
