W I L L I E . . . B A S S E . . . is a classically trained vocalist and has been on stage since the age of five. As a professional recording artist, he is best known as the front man of Los Angeles based rock band Black Sheep.
He has worked with Andy Johns, Buddy Miles, Canned Heat, Robert Fitzpatrick, Gary Kellgren, Stephan Stills, Mike Finnigan, Rob Grill, Joe Vitalli, Dr. Dre, Tony Franklin, Randy Chertkoff/Delta Groove Records, George Lynch, Jeff Pilson, Phil Soussan, Sean McNabb, Vinnie and Carmine Appice, Glen Sobel and DJ Ashba.
As a songwriter for Leon Russell's Shelter Records and with his rock band Black Sheep, Basse developed a keen sense of melody and a track record for discovering major talent. Black Sheep has been home to some of today's best rock musicians -- Slash, James Kottak, Paul Gilbert, Randy Castillo, Mitch Perry, JP Cervoni, Marshall Harrison, Mark Harden.
In his New York Times best seller,
Slash states his experience with Willie and Black Sheep as "a right of passage."

Among projects slated for this year,
Willie plans to re-release the Black Sheep "Trouble In The Streets" album, a must have for guitar enthusiasts. It will include the previously unreleased track, "Into The Night" featuring a guitar solo by Paul Gilbert

Willie is also planning a solo CD of Thin Lizzy cover songs with many famous guest musician performances.
