Whit Hill & The Postcards, Ann Arbor Summer Festival “Lotta Your Love" - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 09, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
Nashville’s Whit Hill returns to her Ann Arbor roots and joins her Detroit-based alt-country band The Postcards for a set of story songs and ballads blending twangy country, organ-laced soul, and southern rock reminiscent of Lucinda Williams and Nanci Griffith.

Whitley Hill was born and raised in New York City, the child of two actors who met doing summer stock. Her mother was a cotton farmer’s daughter from Mississippi. Her dad was the son of Armenian immigrants who settled in the mountains of West Virginia. It was an interesting mix.

Whit plays a Martin guitar and loves it very much. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband, Al Hill – a keyboardist, guitarist and singer who is music director for soul diva Bettye Lavette.
