"When I died (I started laughing through the tears...", from "Rites of Passage" - copyright.
a song inspired by a near-death experience and the revelations and change of consciousness and life path that followed.

When I died, I travelled in time, and I already lost all the ones I'll ever love.
When I died, I knew, there would be a goodbye inside every hello.
And that's why, I'll always look you in the eye.
And that's why, there'll never be enough goodbyes.
And that's why, this prayer is my lullaby
And that's why, there'll never be enough smiles.
So I started living in the present tense, even though sometimes it gets so intense
but it makes sence to have faith in coincidence, it makes sence
to have gained respect for consequence.
And that's why, I'll always look you in the eye
And that's why there'll never be enough goodbyes
And that's why, this prayer is my lullaby
And that's why I am living as if I had died.
And have I cried? Have I ... have I...
but have I smiled? Have I, have I...
I started laughing through the tears.
