WE ROCK LIKE GIRLS DON'T

We Rock Like Girls Don't are a female guitar/ drums duo from the UK currently working on their self -financed second album.
Following time out due to Ros having a major operation in 2011, WRLGD are back in action and have just returned from an explosive mini Italian tour! The band headlined CLIT ROCK at The Lexington, London on 20th November 2011 and were recently featured on BBC Introducing on Gary Crowley's London Calling.
WRLGD began when Glaswegian guitarist/ vocalist Ros Cairney advertised for a Rock'n'Roll Freak in London paper Loot and met her match in London/ Greek drummer Vas Antoniadou.
Initially a trio, the band received attention with two self released 7" singles ROCK'N'ROLL FREAK and I JUST WANNA STICK MY HEAD IN THE BASS DRUM, and infiltrated the final of Onemusic Unsigned on daytime BBC Radio 1.
After the departure of bassist Jen Simpson, the duo self-released third single VIOLENCE followed by debut album HOW DID IT GET TO THIS and signed to Domino Publishing Company.



Double A single WELCOME TO MY WORLD/ FEELING LONELY NOW was recorded with US producer John Goodmanson in Seattle and released in April 2010.



Festival appearances include T In The Park in Scotland, Offset Festival in London, and Leffingeleuren, Rock Wauberg, Paulusfeesten in Belgium. A summer tour of Germany and Belgium in 2010 included memorable headline shows at The Charlatan Club, Gent and the Duncker Club in Berlin.
The pair finished the year with a track on NEW HEAVY SOUNDS Vol 1 for NHS Records * * * * * Album Of The Month in Artrocker Magazine and recorded new song SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING at legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales with producer Dave Eringa.
