"This Brissie five-piece is so now it's almost scary. Tight as you know what, they've got their arrangements and dynamics down pat, and are artfully unpretentious. Inevitably, though, they're wearing their contemporary influences on their collective sleeve, recalling the best of, say, The Matches, and Panic At The Disco, but still capable of just letting the song tell the story, stripped back. An example of this is on the longest cut in this six-song, mini musical moment collection (a mini-album?), The Aftermath, before they tear it up in the last minute. Positively bristling potential, they're worth watching."
- Drum Media, 27/1/09
"Think the Matches meets Panic at the Disco (old Panic before that horrible faux Beatles album) - catchy stuff."
- Stu Harvey, JJJ ShortFastLoud
Hello.
We are Wearing Rosco.
We are a pop/punk 5-some from the Ghettos of Brisbane.
We have played somewhere around 80 shows in the two years we have been married, and have been lucky enough to share the stage with bands like Angela’s Dish, Fifty Sixx, Avalon Drive, Ruby Tigers, Another Day Down, Repeat Offender and The Scissor File.
Our songs have spent time on top of the JJJ unearthed charts, and our debut EP “Pages From a Paperback” debuted in the top twenty releases on local radio station 4zzz, alongside the likes of Sparkadia and British India.
We were recently lucky enough to represent Queensland in the Australasian Final of the Global Battle of the Bands of 2008 in Sydney. We didn’t win, but we saw some amazing things in our travels, including a man feeding a chip to a seagull.
Playing live is our favorite, as we tend to get a bit sideways on stage, in a daring, unscripted manner. We have broken guitars, walls and ourselves on stage before, but please don’t be afraid; we would never hurt you.
We have a street team who call themselves “Coathanger Kids”, and they are our favorite people in the world.
In 2009 we will release our second, yet to be named EP, so stay tuned.
