Original description:
Jimmy Asquith brings forth the exciting new happenings of label & distribution house Lobster Theremin, as well as sub-label Distant Hawaii. Imre Kiss, S Olbricht, DJ Sonikku, nthng, ASOK & plenty more goodies await.

"The last couple of years of Lobster Theremin have been a pretty wild ride through different strains of house, techno, electro, ambient and other facets of electronic music.

The most exciting and invigorating aspect however has been the discovery of so much incredible unknown underground talent: artists totally obscured from the view of conventional labels, and who are puristically pursuing their art form, but who also need a home to present their material. That was a large part of the drive for starting the label and increasing the output to such a high rate, and it will continue into this year with plenty of new names joining LT.

For this mix, I brought together a ton of forthcoming tracks from Lobster Theremin, plus material from our Distant Hawaii offshoot and a few other stray unreleased bangers, with quite a few new names in there plus some returning mainstays of the label. I was keen to pull out the more euphoric aspects of what we'll be releasing, as it seems to have become a bit of a theme for the next 12 months.

After showcasing a large amount of brain-melting techno last year (although there will be a decent amount this year too) it was time to use a slightly lighter touch, but there's still plenty of punchy heaters and some sly electro cuts.

There's also a proper wildcard at the end, so listen out for that ;)"
