VITERA----ROCK ALTERLATINO
Vitera blends American style rock with Latin grooves and instrumentation as a backdrop for pop rock lyrics in Spanish, English, and Spanglish. Influences include Whitesnake, Tesla, Allman Bros, Cabas, Juanes, and Rabanes. The band brings a kick-ass Texas edge to Rock Latino blending congas and horns with greasy slide guitar one minute and orchestral strings with rock violin the next. An extremely versatile vocalist, Haydn Vitera can growl out Chris Cornell style or be Luis Miguel smooth. He is a multi-talented instrumentalist as well who plays guitar, keys, and most notably the violin. His 6-string fretted Viper Violin sings out beautiful melodies and burns out blistering rock riffs that rival the meanest guitar.
VITERA's debut effort "¡Súbete!" is an in your face mix of 80s and 90s-era hard rock, Latin grooves, and Texas attitude. Big guitars, powerful vocals, and shredding rock violin merge with pop rock lyrics in Spanish, English, and "Spanglish" to create a unique fusion destined to break the language barrier and bring together crossover listeners at the Church of Rock-N-Roll! Co-produced by Haydn Vitera and Omar Vallejo of Austin Latin Rock icons Vallejo, the album features collaborations and guest performances by some of Austin's hottest Latino talent including Vallejo, Anita Benner of Five Alarm Fuego, Angel Ferrer of the Chris Perez Band, Juan Diaz of Kalua, and the Fresh2Def Horns. Pop it in, put the top down, and take a wild ride with VITERA. "¡Súbete!"
