The musical group Spleen Collective grew from composer Lennart Vanstaen’s original, solo project Spleen, that employed a sound he likes to describe as "Melantronica".

In 2007, Lennart signed for two years with English label Summer Rain Recordings, releasing two EP’s : 6 Moons Ago and Where We All Fit In.



In 2009, Lennart discovered the sensitive work of singer Arconic. Since then she writes the lyrics, violin and vocal parts to his compositions. At the same time friend and musician Tomas Vink joined Lennart’s live project, adding magic with drums and keyboards, soon followed by Roel Goovaert’s peacefull bass. The work of VJ artist Subtiv completes the band’s universe, providing harmonious spectacles for their live concerts.



After a first, successful gig at the Trix Muziekcentrum in Antwerp, Spleen was renamed Spleen Collective, reflecting the 5 artists’ collaboration.

They are more then a band; but a musico-visual experience where multiple soundscapes cause visual layers to dance.



Spleen Collective is haunting melodies, mesmerizing vocals and poetic lyrics that float along minimal percussive sounds, wrapped in a warm, bassy beat.
