DESCRIPTION:
The human snakes
Slither on and on
The traffic
Is real
And endless
It burns, right down to the bones
Hardens the skin
Bends the spine
A labyrinth of aches
Symptoms of man's disease
The unsung lullabies of sweet sixteens
Haunts our sleep
Ashes rise from where once was flesh
Don't look at me, I was once someone real
Now lost in the vortex, spiraling down
The human traffic
They fall
One by one
A field of wilted teens
Shaped by the acid tongues
Drowned in the dunes
In no-mans'-land
A plea for rain
Wash away the empire of man
Let us drift upon the scorching earth
And lay our heads down
Down
Ashes rise from where once was flesh
Don't look at me, I was once someone real
Now lost in the vortex, spiraling down
The human traffic
Snake-eyes
Nowhere to hide from the snake-eyes
Shredding hard through the core
Drilling right down to the bones
Incinerating the skin and nerves
Haunting our sleepless nights
Snake-eyes
The unsung lullabies of bitter sixteens
Plea to dose off
To cleanse the senses
Shed the body
To never feel a thing
Lay our heads down through the traffic
Our nights are real
And endless
We have no moon,
No sun
Only snake-eyes
Nowhere to hide from the snake-eyes
