DESCRIPTION:
I first saw Vince Genella and the Business perform at Ruppert's in Riverdale about a year ago. The band was excellent and it turned out that they also had an "open mic" element in their show where local musicians would go up and jam with the band. It was a very fun atmosphere and after we spoke briefly he actually allowed my 6 year old son up to play drums with them! Vince Genella & Friends is not your ordinary type of event. . .

You see, Vince and Roy are music instructors and they have their students both young and old come up and play, creating a true family style atmosphere. He and his band mates are all true professionals and they add that human touch that makes them so personable. A Vince Genella show is more than a show, it's a fully interactive event where for a brief time the audience and band become one.

Just wanted to let you know how much we really enjoy, and look forward to, your monthly Vince Genella & Friends gig at Ruppert's! The variety and quality of musical entertainment presented each month, along with the great food and ambience of Ruppert's, makes every night a special occasion for us!

You, Roy & Shawn are three extremely talented musicians, and always perform a top notch set list to kick off the night. The Friends part of the show is always intriguing and very entertaining because of the varying age groups and musical interests of the performers. On any given night, the musical mix includes both classic & progressive rock, blues, jazz, and every once in a while, a bit of country. A true musical smorgasbord!!!
Every gig is a different adventure, and every night we leave with smiles on our faces after an awesome night of musical entertainment. Keep up the great showcase of musical talent, Vince, and we'll see you at the next gig!
