The Linus Pauling Quartet - Victory Gin [Official Video] - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 04, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Contrary to what many believe, this is not a video of hastily assembled sock puppets made from a $40 run to Michael's but actual live footage of the Linus Pauling Quartet in the studio. Yes, this is what the band really looks like.

Directed, edited, and pasted together by RamonLP4 with some help from Clinton Heider.

Sidenote: The inspiration for the video was Dinosaur Jr.'s video for "Just Like Heaven" but once I started editing I realized it looked more like Sifl and Ollie (hail, hail Liam Lynch and Matt Crocco). Both are wonderful so I encourage you to try to seek them out.

Lyrics

VICTORY GIN

The things I said to you
They all turned out to be true
Now I take your hand
As we walk this blasted land
you know that we're living in hell, but we're living well

And all around us plays a scene
Of victory gin, and soylent green

You better get out
You better get out while you can
You better get out
The black flood's coming
You better get out
You better get out while you can
You better get out
The black flood's coming
The black flood's coming
The black flood's coming

The things I said to you
They all turned out to be true
As I take your hand
You have to ask, what kind of man
would take you down, take you to the promised land

And while the clowns keep up the show
There's really nowhere else to go

You better get out
You better get out while you can
You better get out
The black flood's coming
You better get out
You better get out while you can
You better get out
The black flood's coming....

Legal Department Disclaimer: "Demonstration only. The sock puppets depicted in this video are trained professional alcoholics. The LP4 does not advocate the excessive guzzling of hard liquor straight from the bottle, especially top shelf stuff like Hendricks gin. Tito's, on the other hand..." - Clinton Heider
