Buddy Tetreault - Spring Rain (my original)! - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jun 03, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
This song is one I wrote called "Spring Rain". I released it on my CD: "Where the Road Leads". To get my music, you can visit: http://www.BuddyGuitar.com/wp/store

Spring Rain is a very unique song paying homage to the traditional instruments and musical styles of many Asian cultures. Tonally, I think it is perfectly matched to the banjo!

The banjo I am playing in this video is my Deering Boston 6-string (B-6 model). It is about 20 years old and has a great tone! I have it tuned in standard guitar tuning for this song: 6-E | 5-A | 4-D | 3-G | 2-B | 1-E

If you play the guitar, you should really consider taking up the banjo... the 6-string banjo is a great choice. You can read my article published here about how the banjo has helped me as a guitarist: http://blog.deeringbanjos.com/can-the-banjo-make-you-a-better-guitar-player/

For the audiophiles out there who may be interested... I used a little amplification from the Kavanjo pickup, and ran that through my L.R. Baggs Para Acoustic D.I. with very slight EQ and ran that into my ZOOM H4n in 4 channel mode. However, most of the audio source you are hearing is from the ZOOM's built-in 'X/Y' configured microphones in 120 degree configuration. I hope you like it!

Thanks for watching!
