DESCRIPTION:
Jimmy Foot & The Athletes was a recording project recorded at Wally Heider Recording San Francisco from 1976-1979.

This song "I'm Dreamin'" written by Jimmy Foot, was beautifully sung by Vicki Randle. As vocalist & percussionist, Vicki Randle has recorded and/or toured with George Benson, Herbie Hancock, Aretha Franklin, Lionel Richie, Celine Dion, Kenny Loggins & Branford Marsalis. Vicki was also lead vocalist & percussionist for The Tonight Show Band with host Jay Leno from 1992 til 2010. Vicki is currently bassist and vocalist for funk rock band "Skip The Needle."

Jimmy Foot & The Athletes was engineered by Susie Foot who also helped Fred Catero & David Rubinson record "Amigos" by Santana, "Secrets" by Herbie Hancock, "Steppin'" by The Pointer Sisters" and "Chameleon" by Patti LaBelle.

Guitarist, songwriter, producer, and engineer Jimmy Foot performed with The Rhyth-O-Matics. Known for their exciting mix of African and Ska genres, this band opened for established artists including Jimmy Cliff, Madness, Olatunji, Etta James and Fishbone. The Rhyth-O-Matics released their classic album "Walking in the Shadow" which was produced by Bob Johnston, as was "Reggae Jackson." Bob Johnston was the producer for countless artists including Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, Simon & Garfunkel and Jimmy Cliff. Veteran sound engineer Fred Catero was at the controls for the "Walking in the Shadow" album. Fred engineered literally 100's of albums, from Janis Joplin to The Pointer Sisters, Herbie Hancock to Santana. What a team those two giants made in the studio! It was historic.
