Environmental Artist Sibylle Szaggars Redford & Composer Tim Janis collaborate for the world premiere of The Way of the Rain - Voices of Hope, a benefit concert for NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) & The Way of the Rain (nonprofit organizations). A Music, Art, & Film Experience - An Homage to Planet Earth.
With special guests: Vice President Al Gore, Academy Award-winning director Robert Redford, Pulitzer Prize-winning author & poet N. Scott Momaday, Multi-Platinum-selling artist Loreena McKennitt, Grammy Award-winning artist Robert Mirabal, Top Billboard, Grammy and Emmy-nominated Celtic violinist Máiréad Nesbitt, and from Celtic Woman & Riverdance Lynn Hilary.
Additional performers include Alex Boye', Laura Dias, The Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra (Conductor Julien Benichou), and The Way of the Rain - Voices of Hope Choir (Choir Master Matt Vanzini). Projections by Floyd Thomas McBee.
Tickets are on sale Friday October 20th at 11a.m. and will be available via Carnegie Charge and on Carnegie Hall's website. A special 30% fan discount will be offered the first 4 days tickets are on sale. The sale begins Oct. 20th @ 11am and expires Oct.23rd @ 11:59pm. Code: FAN27828
