Hailing from the blazing sunshine of New Mexico, 3am welcomes back Terry Vernixx, fresh from his recent superb remix of Ruben F "Groovin" as featured on TAM68.
Here Terry lays down his wicked combination of deep & percussive sounds to superb effect; the warm keys nestling alongside the tougher bass groove, all laid down over the rolling percussive flow Terry does so well, as is evident on his releases for the likes of Native Soul, Shiva, Snakebeats & Ambiosphere.
On remix duties 3am welcomes two newcomers to the label, in the shape of Tony S & Lee Pennington. Kicking off with Tony's cut, we are treated to a gorgeous reworking of the original, replaying the keys & adding some vox clips into the process, creating an excellent cut which packs a punch at the same time. Upcoming projects from Tony can be found on stellar labels such as UM Records, Bulletdodge & DeepWit.
Moving onto Lee's mix, things move into deep-tech territory, again utilising the percussive vibe from the original, but here Lee adds a tougher refrain over the bass & drums, creating a powerful atmospheric groove for the late-night strobes & dark basements. The influence of Lee's residencies at Zoo Project in Ibiza & *RiffRaff in Middlesbrough shining through; look out for future releases from Lee on Channel Zoo & Midnight Social Recordings soon.
