"It seems that everyday I learn something new about Vanessa Daou. How many singers are equally astute as a curator of visual arts, of photography? This is a very complex woman—a cultural icon, with layers she peels away in her own time. I have met Vanessa once in person, when she delivered a talk in Chicago on anonymous photography. Her talk was brilliant, one of the best I have ever heard in the field."
