ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHS:

The photographs showcased here are the result of journeys to different parts of Colombia throughout the years made by Mauricio Bayona and produced by Juan Pablo Varela.

Special acknowledgments and profound gratitude to the communities and friends of Quibdó
(San Pacho is an event held annually in Quibdo (Chocó), where religious and pagan expressions alternate. They are currently afrochocoana affirming cultural identity, updating both the way in which religious experience as that which is essential in the realm of music, dance is assumed), and San Basilio de Palenque for palenqueros the drum is present in each of the activities that this event is the name of this musical instrument “ Festival de Tambores”.
Gratitude to these communities by sharing our cultural heritage.
