We all know Van Halen rules, but have you ever wondered what their albums might have sounded like if they were able to record a few of them during their club days? While we'll never know the answer to that question, I've attempted to do the next best thing and compiled a series of fantasy releases covering the group's formative years.

These albums will hopefully serve as both a road map for the casual fan who'd like to learn more about the group's history, as well as a scholarly resource for the VH die-hard, covering the most notable of their early, unreleased recordings in the best available quality.

This is the second of the studio albums, titled 'Eyes of the Night'. This release includes songs from the November '76 Gene Simmons 'Zero' sessions, as well as a few live versions of songs that had yet to be recorded in the studio during this time period. It's during this brief era that Van Halen went from being a dynamite club band to one of the greatest hard rock acts of all time. The songwriting and playing here have to be heard to be believed.
