I'm not clinically bipolar. I was always the kid that couldn't get over us being hereon earth. I was also the kid humping the pillow and playing with matchbox cars, so. Fast forward several years of teaching myself guitar, failed attempts at being in bands and the many tiers of music industry asking what I want to be when I grow up, I got mixed into a weird pop tart from Estonia's reality after college. I accidentally co-wrote a song for her debut Def Jam release and by hanging out in the studio, accepted pop structure. The Estonian recommended I meet "the dude from SADE," named Stuart Matthewman because we both made her laugh in a dirty way or something, but she was right, we really hit it off. and thus began to realize our alter ego or "Twin Danger." Which brings us to now. Twin Danger got a record deal with Blue Note and we're starting to go public. In January I released my debut record, a six song EP titled "BEAST PATROL" which I wrote, recorded, produced & mixed myself. When I play shows the band is called Beast Patrol, as we're starting to write and record as a band. I also founded and co-host a weekly online radio show called Space Camp Radio with bi-polar spinning habits and news on it all. So I guess my 14 year old rocker self is still cool with the little girl dancing to Jaco after all. - Vanessa Bley 2012
