Carbo-Flex

Inspired by my love of Detroit Techno, I started Djing in the North East back in the late eighties at the height of the Madchester rave scene. Eighteen years on, I began producing my own electronic music in 2003, whist still DJing and promoting Soundscape, my own electronic club night in the city.

Aphex Twin’s Didgeridoo E.P was the catalyst for my transition from DJ to producer and my love of electronic music has inspired a number tracks such as Amme Dot and The Flex.



I’m passionate about music and love nothing more than watching live electronic acts, whether it’s the latest local talent or my idols, who I’ll travel far and wide to see. I’ll listen to anything by Warp, Skam and Rephlex, and I’m particularly influenced by Aphex Twin, LFO, MR 76ix, Quinoline Yellow, Arovane, Squarepusher, Boards of Canada , Scrubber Fox, plus Jega, DDamage, U-ziq just to name a few.
