Update 11/29/15 - Wow, so much has changed in five years. This video had barely a thousand views for the first year I released it. Now it has 60,000!! That is incredible! I was 13 when I made this video. I am 18 now, and I'll leave the original description below for laughs, but that was a very different version of myself. I was more into death metal, but still had a very small sense of how many great artists were out there. Nowadays, I am more into progressive metal. Bands like Tool, Opeth, Dream Theater, and Protest the Hero to name a few. Although I still love Gojira, I have not listened to them as much lately. For the past year, I have played every Tool album, beginning to end, countless times. Scenes From A Memory Part 2 by Dream Theater is probably my favorite concept album to exist. Ghost Reveries by Opeth is so diverse and unique (I understand Opeth has many great albums, but Ghost Reveries was my first album by them, right around the time I made this video actually). Fortress by Protest the Hero is just damn good musicianship. To name a band that is not commercially huge, but still great, is Ayreon. I recently discovered them, but their music is phenomenal (concept albums like SFAM PT 2). Also, I must add, Kendrick Lamar has me convinced that To Pimp A Butterfly is the greatest rap album ever. I am speechless at how moving those songs are. Kendrick is definitely going to go down as one of the greats. There are so many great artists out there, and I am discovering more everyday.
