This volume of Maestro's Choice presents Vilayat Khan's sitar rendition of various ragas of his choice. It begins with raga Sanjh Saravali, which has been created by blending three evening ragas: Khem, Bihag and Kalyan. It is followed by raga Mand Bhairav, which is again a mix of two ragas: Mand and Bhairav. The next is a rendition of raga Pilu, a romantic raga, followed by raga Rageshree, a late evening raga, Gavati and finally raga Sughrai originating from the parent scale Kafi.
