UPROOT, Yuma Reggae

What up, Y'all? Big Joe givin' the info. We are UPROOT. My brothers started the band in 1997. We started with an idea that just grew from there. In 2000 we released our first CD "We Belong Together" we recorded at a studio in San Diego. Since then our band, like many others, has gone through a number of changes, in members and direction and style. The current line-up has been intact for the last 5 years. We have been fortunate in our travels to perform with many Superstars in the reggae scene. Such as; Gregory Isaacs, Inner Circle, Maxi Priest, Steel Pulse, Yellowman, Eek-a-Mouse, Michael Rose, Quinazo (fromerly Big Mountain), Burning Spear and many others.

We were part of the Bob Marley Festival Tour from 2001-2003. We were voted "The Best Band" in our hometown of Yuma, Az. for 3 years 2001, 2002, 2003. We've played all over the Southwest From San Diego to Las Vegas to Flagstaff to Phoenix to Tucson and everywhere in between. As long as we continue to enjoy playing music we will keep on moving.
