After much searching I've finally found it. Very rare album and very unique. Made primarily from obscure samples, albeit uncut (unlike The Avalanches' Since I Left You) this album gives you a great feeling. Featuring an extra track originally cut off from the album. It is played before the last song of the album.

It's probably most similar to those radio dj intros over Since I Left You - there's not much in the way of overlaying and melding different samples. That might register as black mark for some, but I think the skill and technique is represented in the knowledge of all these unique samples and figuring where they fit.
