Soon after Bartt's New Zealand tour, the Christchurch earthquakes struck. Bartt wrote "Be Mine" as his very small contribution to the healing arts projects that sprung up around NZ. Later, at the Hawkes Bay Ukulele Festival, the assembled students of NZ public schools performed the song, as you can see here.
