"Sarajevo Roots"
Sarajevo, the geographical and cultural centre of former Yugoslavia evolved as a melting pot of influences from both the East and the West. Its multicultural population gave rise to the most diverse musical expressions. EtnoSaraj has its roots and draws inspiration from the numerous musical treasures of this land. These treasures are inspiring echos of the mysticism of the East, raw passion of the gypsies, the elegance of the old court of Vienna, the warm Mediterranean rhythms, the moving sounds of the Spanish Jews and much more.
All these influences contribute to rise of the unique music genre: Sevdah.

Following paths of forgotten musical caravans of the Balkans EtnoSaraj presents its audience a travelogue decorated with ornaments of past times, but refreshed by a modern sound while still maintaining respect for its traditional roots. That magic moment in which music brings together the audience and performers, past and present, forgotten and revived, is the reason sufficient enough for EtnoSaraj to continue this journey.

Regardless performing the music of the former Yugoslavia, in particular Bosnian "Sevdah" music, they present their own repertoire. Most of these compositions are flowing from the musical brain of singer and guitar player Mile Lukić. Accordionist Nermin Tulić is the founder and leader of the group. He is responsible for the smart and variable music-program.
