Tycho's unique brand of ambient music — highly textured and driven by uplifting melodies and striking guitars — has become a fixture at major festivals around the world. Primarily the main project of Scott Hansen, Tycho was nominated at the Grammys recently, and it became a high point in his music-making career.

We sit down to discuss the "surreal" nomination, plus taking new leaps with his new album Epoch, explaining why Tycho is largely an "audio/visual" project, and his five favourite albums.
