I must admit I was hoping that Jean-Luc Ponty would be the guest on Willie the Pimp - he was there for this tour (playing with Return to Forever) - though Sugarcane Harris played the violin on the original Frank Zappa recording. But as far as local heroes go, Eric Johnson is one who doesn't play in town often, so this turned out to be a great finale to ZpZ's opening set.
