Il cammino della band affonda le sue radici nell'Estate 2015, quando Eugenio Dubla (voce, chitarra e synth), Giacomo Abatematteo (batteria) e Alessandro Favale (basso) si trovano a fondere le loro anime appartenenti a mondi musicalmente differenti, ponendo così le basi del progetto DUBLA. Provenienti da diverse formazioni della scena indipendente tarantina (Don't Ask Me, Non Giovanni), i tre sono accomunati dalla grande attitudine sul palco e dalla necessità di sperimentare ed esplorare nuovi orizzonti sonori. Sognano una propria dimensione musicale, passando attraverso il mondo dell'elettronica fino a frizzanti sfumature di brit pop. DUBLA è un progetto che vede la luce per la prima volta durante il live sul palco di Arezzo Wave Taranto, vincendone le finali regionali per poi partecipare al concerto di Luglio 2016 targato Arezzo Wave Love Festival, assieme a tutte le altre band in rappresentanza delle regioni italiane. Nonostante il recente debutto, DUBLA già colleziona partecipazioni a importanti festival della scena musicale Italiana, avendo calcato palchi come quello del Contronatura Music Festival e del Cellamare Music Festival, la cui prima edizione si è svolta ad Agosto 2016.


DUBLA is the name given to the project originated by the cooperation between Eugenio Dubla (voice, guitar and synth) and Alessandro Favale (bass player) together with Giacomo Abatematteo (drummer). The idea of this indie electro sound combined with british pop hints was born in 2015, so it took relatively short time to become real; in April 2016 DUBLA performs for the first time for the Arezzo Wave Love Festival, winning the selections and later on representing the southern italian region of Puglia at the contest’s finals in July 2016. Contronatura Music Festival and Cellamare Music Festival are other two important musical events to which DUBLA takes part during Summer 2016, together with many artists and bands belonging to the Italian background of indie music. The brit footprint is declared as well as their will to make people dance during their live performances.
