Darshel Bell, aka "Shellz" and Joe Whitaker aka "Jig", began their frienship and musical skills at the early age of 12. As their friendship developed and their talent matured, they began to focus in on how two indivduals could penetrate and elevate the art of beat making.



Armed with a dream of creating a new standard of music making and some twenty-inch rims, Jig & Shellz out of college sold their rims; invested in an MPC Dr. Rhtrhm beat machine and a Casio keyboard and they began their mission to tough the hearts, soul and pockets of the industry with an incredible sound and extreme determination.



Ten years in and many keyboards later the Tune Raiders hit the streets hard with a unique blend of live instruments and sampling. With a current catalog exceeding 400 tracks, the Tune Raiders have released 3 mix CD's a year, all containing 22 original tracks with some of the hottest R&B and Hip Hop artists in upstate NY and Atlanta, GA. These releases have brought much success and tremendous recognition to the duo.



Moving more than 4,000 units while increasing their fan base in select cities from LA to Miami, Philly, Texas and back to NY, has marked them as a premier producers in the music industry. Producing tracks for The Senate, J-Kwon (So-So Def), Cadillac Tah (Murder Inc. Records) and The Diplomats (Roc-A-Fella Records) confirms that their style of creating music will thrust them to the frontlines of the industry.
