Marc Alonzo’s story began on Chicago’s Westside with very humble beginnings, he immersed himself with music in his early childhood. Marc honed his craft by participating in many local and nationwide talent showcases. By the tender age of 9, Marc had already begun to receive numerous amounts of recognition for his special talents that included becoming a three-time champion of the hit show "Star Search". After making the decision to focus more on education, He attended Depaul University on a music scholarship, which helped to develop the multi-artistic, astoundingly proficient, and sharp man he is today. In 2001 Marc Alonzo’s achievements really commenced. He was featured and chosen as "Best Artist" on "The Jenny Jones Show". He traveled and performed everywhere from the Apollo Theater, House of blues, The Cotton Club, United Center, across the country and outside of the states. By 2006 Marc Alonzo was nominated for "Entertainer of the Year" for "The Truth Awards" two consecutive years. Proving to the reviewers that he is more than just a splendid singer, He is a superior songwriter, admirable arranger, prime producer, fabulous dancer, and an extraordinary entertainer. Although Marc Has conservatively & graciously declined a considerable amount of deals offered from reputable labels, he continues to flourish.
