Bio
The Daxls was the worst band ever to come out of Utrecht. And proud of it. The band's love for Bonini (cheap fake Martini Bianco, only available at Aldi supermarkets) prevented them from becoming huge stars (or even playing their instruments properly). Highlights of their career: finding labels silly enough to release Daxls records, the legendary 1-day Blitzkrieg tour of 1996 to Darmstadt (Germany), cancelling at least 2 VPRO radio sessions, opening up for Dutch beat legends the Outsiders (a few years later Bingo Starr would record a CD with Outsiders guitarist Ron Splinter's band Ron & the Splinters) and finding out that American teen idol Donny Denim is a Daxls fan. The gorgeous American Foxes even ask Donny in a song to play them Daxls 45's all night, can you believe it?! But sadly it had to end... These days Deff is doing country (AND western) music while Hard Cor is playing sold out posh theatres (and appearing on Top Of The Pops) with a band called Spinvis. Daxl Rose, Schmeisser and Bingo Starr (along with drummer Barry Rockstar of Stilettos fame) were in a short lived band called the Messerschmitts. They thought they were a stadium rock band. Yeah right... In their dreams! Unfortunately the Messerschmitts are no more. Bingo Starr decided he has damaged his ears enough and retired from playing live. He will however continue recording with his international internet band Transatlantic Bunnies. Barry Rockstar will continue rocking with the Stilettos and banjo duelling with Bingo Starr. Schmeisser is involved in international peacekeeping politics and he likes to ride on his scooter in the weekends ('cause he's a mod). Daxl Rose will possibly return to the stage as a solo act.
