DESCRIPTION:
The Tradesmen open for Del Rey. We went to see guitar/ukulele virtuoso Del Rey on Thursday night at the Roots Cellar in the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts (The Scaife Mansion, at the corner of Fifth and Shady). Watching Del is a joyful experience. She beams as she delivers her music to the appreciative audience -- the sounds of the resonator modulate as she turns across the room. Her music is intimate and its textures and dynamics really shine in a small room. What she's doing, the rhythm lines and the leads (both four and six string) is very complicated; her exuberance and determination makes listening a joy. I put up eight videos at the youtube channel. Calliope, Pittsburgh's folk music society sponsored her and continues to bring great artists to Pittsburgh. This is amateur video. I do not monetize or profit in any way from it.
