Finally closing this series are, appropriately, the last two tunes on the record. I wanted to make a dual vid to close the first album series ('Public Display of Infection') but, unfortunately, two of my laptops were stolen a few years ago and it just dawned on me that the only available tracking footage for both "Wander" and "Drive It like It's Stolen" was in iMove in one of the stolen laptops. Such a shame, as I am usually quite thorough in creating multiple backups for footage. Alas, we still have what you see here.

"Electric in My Veins" features Nick and the one and only Guthrie Govan trading ferocious licks towards the middle to the end of the song. Just as with Paul Gilbert in "Trick Question", it's utterly surreal hearing my playing against another guitar legend.

"An Extra Emotion" notes:
-shaker plays 8ths throughout entire piece
-pedal hat plays an intricate role in providing forward momentum in the grooves in the A section
-2:06 - 8th-note quintuplet fill-in
-2:32 - brief little guitar lick complementation
-2:58 - more lick complementing
-outro (4:03) is centered around a metric modulation with some fingertip ghosting thrown in there hehe
"Electric in My Veins" notes:
-tune starts with a a stripped-down version of the A section groove
-5:44 - this groove (and its reprises) is one of my favorites out of the whole album
-6:10, 9:13 - guitar lick complementation
-6:28 - over-the-bar fill-in into a big accented crash on the '2' to 'slink' back into the A section groove
-8:30 - thematic orchestration is changed for once to complement guitar
-9:42 - ending - groove trades off of the different hats to highlight the chord progression; it is slowly built with aberrations and fill-ins to give it somewhat of a live feel (the solos were tracked afterwards)
-however, the briefly repeated orchestration at 12:26 was something planned that stemmed from the original demo (Nick always noodles and--much like the first session--told me to tell him when to keep something I complement in the demos)
