The York ’ISOS classic’ set at Luminosity Beach Festival 2015 truly was something special. To hear Torsten, also known as York, play his very own ’Reachers of civilization’, ’On the beach’, as well as timeless ISOS classics like Tonedepth & Sultan - Moment, Taxigirl - High glow and Tiësto’s remix of Delerium’s Silence was an experience out of the ordinary.

Combine that with what I would say is one of the best crowds in the world, Torsten's set turned out to be magikal and the the perfect way to open up the festival and the classics stage on the sunday.

Since the first release - 'The Awakening', York has been a renown name with in the international electronic music scene. With delicate atmospheres and pioneering guitars, they gave us feelings. They gave us warmth, where ever we were. All through music.

Torsten Stenzel began his musical career early in his childhood, learning the piano from the age of 5 when he began his classical training.

"Basically at 17, I was already a hobby producer. Spending all my money on synths."


’Reachers of civilization’ is one of my all time favorite tracks, whether it’s the beautiful original or the mind-blowing Rank 1 remix, so getting chance to sit down with Torsten was something I could only dream about. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when he was confirmed for Luminosity Beach Festival 2015.
