10n3rz 300 Baud (Tony Grown Eclectic Multimedia) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 21, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
The 10n3rz is a project conceptualized by Tony Grown of Eclectic Multimedia presently consisting of group members Anthony (Tony Grown) and Nicholas (Spillseed). Tony Grown envisioned the group as a possible therapeutic way for the pair to deal with their social anxiety and other anti-social behaviors. Being that the two men are somewhat reclusive it was a near impossibility for them to interact even on the music project so the 10n3rz mainly utilize social networks, email and Android phones to collaborate. The following video was their first attempt at working together and was shot entirely on Android phones and edited on an outdated (circa 1990's) heavily modified Dell Cpi A laptop. Production was performed by Tony Grown via the outdated Dell and Commodore 64 computer. Tony Grown's infamous basement studio was heavily burglarized and basically destroyed a few years back. "Niggas hit my shit, but that ain't stopping us bro." Grown had little recourse but to build a shitty laptop from spare parts, scrounge what was left of his studio and actually build recording equipment. "Shit, we were recording in a fucking minivan and fucked up Buick Roadmaster." "I remember me and Nick plugging our shit up at a Belle Isle picnic shelter for power, I was charging my phone and hacking WIFI for internet access." It's funny now but we actually ate corndogs and chef Boyardee ravioli cooked on the engine block of Nick's raggedy ass Buick. The song "300 Baud" was recorded at Nick's parent's home while they were away. Grown has been suffering for years from what he calls a "Self Diagnosed" form of Asperger's Syndrome, "I was always in my own world and left to my own devices as a child, I felt my only true friends were my Commodore 64 and my electronics." When I got a modem one year a 300 Baud "Mighty Mo" It introduced me to the dark side of computing, carding, phreaking, hacking and pirating video games. Back then computers weren't cool, I was ridiculed there was no internet just BBS. I don't really care that much for Humans, I have my reasons. I'm not a fucking rapper; I'm an engineer and computer geek, lol FUCK IT!! Nick (Spillseed) is an established "Social Engineer" and college radio DJ. In a chance meeting sometime back Tony and Nick realized they shared similar views on modern society and its ills. No one speaks for people like us. I couldn't give a fuck less about your money and fucking 28+ inch rims. Most of these fuckers are lying through their fucking gold plated teeth. I've met a lot of people in the industry and have worked with a lot of cats; the status quo in hip hop is fucked right now to me. I think half the artist and producers in the game can't do what they want or really feel for fear of NO SALES and being broke. I make music for that lone student dealing with the pressures of poverty and no social status, the IT dude sitting in his cubicle forgotten with a shit load of trouble tickets and the Help Desk ringing off the hook, the kid right now jerking off his dick to internet porn, because he's made to feel socially awkward, and thinks he can't get a girl. Who speak for us? Think about all these intelligent folks losing their fucking minds, snapping and killing people. If that Cho dude had one fucking friend who cared that shit at Virginia Tech may have never happened. I really believe we'll see a lot more of that type of shit going around. Listeners are on the lookout for more of the 10n3rz unique brand of audio bullshittery. P.S. This is Tony Grown I'll be making all this shit available for download on torrents and that Dat Piff shit for free!!! Fuck all this shit, IT DOESN'T MATTER!!
