This can be attributed to the versatility and dynamics of the musical influences that have affected his music. There is no doubt that when you hear a Tony Gaines production, there is an undeniable presence of the lost art which producers were once known for……….creating an original song. Tony has set a standard for making music that delivers emotion that is capable of moving you, making the hair on the back of your neck stand up and save you from the regurgitated sounds of today. Having spent the last 15 years mastering his craft, he eventually realized he could make a legendary mark on today’s cookie cutter world of music production. He has elevated his skills to becoming an engineer and fully comprehending what it takes to become a complete composer of music.
Hailing from Lawrence, Kansas, Tony trained himself in music and in the tools to create it. He spent countless hours in front of a keyboard until it became an instrument by which to express his feelings and emotions. From AC/DC to Run DMC, his musical influences know no boundaries. Tony has been inspired and impacted by all the realms of music. He loves hard drums, infectious melodies, synth laden beats, samples, classical drum breaks, as well as instruments to bring it all together. His many talents and uncanny ear for pure, good music allows for a wide range of production from Hip Hop, to R&B, to Pop, to Rock and Roll.
Tony Gaines’ relentless work ethic has provided him the opportunity to work with industry heavyweights such as Raekwon, Shock G (Digital Underground), Tech N9ne, Rich The Factor, J Diggs, Young Buck, as well as host of other artists. Being able to produce music that fits the artist has become invaluable to both the artists he works with and the music he is able to create while working with them. He is a true producer in the sense that he doesn’t simply put out anything, but makes sure each project he touches has its own identity.
He is constantly in the studio working tirelessly, not only with today’s heavyweights, but also with tomorrow’s future stars. He is continuously pushing himself to keep providing the music he is known for while simultaneously raising the production bar on his way to becoming the hardest working producer in the industry!
