DESCRIPTION:
This song is from my friends family gatherings back in the 1940's, with this one recorded on November 16, 1947 using a portable consumer disc cutter and a blank 8-inch diameter paper backed acetate disc made by the "Wilcox-Gay" company, under the "Recordio" name on this disc.

This 78 was transferred to digital by myself(Lloyd Hrdlichka), and was re-mastered by my friend, "Adrian Gregg" who does great 78 re-master cleanup work using his own proprietary process which yields great noise reduction with minimal degrading of sound in either frequency, and dynamic range. Check out his site at http://ade42.blogspot.com/ where you will hear some of his transfer work projects.

These homemade 78's were stored in my friends parents farm house attic for almost 60 years under harsh conditions including, extremes of both summer heat, and winter cold in Minnesota, along with a leaky roof from time to time in between roof repairs over the years.

In spite of the harsh storage conditions, along with the fact these were also recorded on 1947 consumer grade discs and recorded by non-professionals, they actually came out fairly well.

The song "My Adobe Hacienda" was done by numerous famous singers, with "Eddy Howard" being one of them.

Transferred to digital using stereo gear in background photo.
