Tom Leech - Trouble's What You're In (Fink) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 21, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Been planning on recording a video of a Fink tune for a while, wasn't expecting it to be this one, but I came across his video tutorial for it, and learnt it.

The next day I recorded the guitar and vocal in ONE TAKE (first time I have ever just sat down, played a song and been happy with the first thing I did) in the morning before work and mixed that on the train on the way into work. Recorded and mixed the bass and second guitar part that evening and programmed the strings on the train in the next day (this morning). Final mix on the train home from work this evening and here we are :)

The drums are just the drum intro from the real thing cut up and looped, strings are just the samples included with Logic, guitars are a Martin GPCPA1 and a no name nylon that belonged to my grandfather, recorded with an sE GM10. Vocals recorded with an SE2200T, bass is a Godin A4 Fretless DI'd in.

No, it's not perfect, but I'm pretty pleased with it as a 2 day project done in the morning/evening/commute :)
