Paula sent me Claudine Longet (1968) version of this tune and I had some trouble figuring out the chords so I asked Ron Sowell, Music Director for NPR's Mountain Stage to give me a hand. He charted the song for me (THANKS RON) but, I ended up just doing my own thing.
While looking for the author, I thought it was Burt Bacharach and Hal David, I stumble upon other versions and found it was actually Randy Newman. I'm guessing he penned it around 1967. Couldn't find a version of Randy doing it. Enjoy this dark Christmas Time song.
